There are two main types of receptors in our ECS (Endocannabinoid system): CB1 and CB2
Cannabinoid Receptor 1 (CB1) are mostly located in the brain and nervous system, as well as in the lungs, liver, and kidneys. Our natural cannabinoids and the cannabinoid THC bind with CB1 due to their similar molecular structure. This may help with pain, nausea and depression.
Cannabinoid Receptor 2 (CB2) are found in the Immune System with a heavy concentration in the spleen and in the Gastrointestinal System. CB2 receptors bind best with Cannabis CBD. It is involved in the regulation of appetite, immune system functions like inflammation and pain management.
